We are thrilled to announce the success of a bid to the Arts Council Place Partnership fund and look forward to delivering Enjoy, Learn and Prosper with a cultural partners in Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth.
Enjoy, Learn & Prosper is a creative project enhancing cultural education for primary students in deprived areas. East Norfolk Sixth Form will work with Enjoy-Great Yarmouth & Lowestoft Rising CEPs to deliver creative activities to boost arts engagement, health, wellbeing and skills development.
CEP partners & teachers will work together to identify need, plan for delivery, and evaluate impacts.
Targeted research will test the impact of creative activities on engagement with the arts, skills development, aspirations, language development, physical & mental wellbeing.
This project uniquely combines the talents of college students and creative professionals in activity delivery, as part of our objectives to develop and diversify the local cultural workforce to achieve a lasting and transformative impact on the local cultural landscape.

October 2024 Update:

CPD sessions and workshops for our Autumn Programme are well under way! In Great Yarmouth, schools signed up to the ELP Project have had the chance to work with artist and educator Kate Munro, with support from artist Sara Moreira, to learn and try out practical art techniques, as well as design artwork for the GoGo Safari Giraffe Sculptures. Pupils focused on creating artwork linked to our local wildlife and all thoroughly enjoyed experimenting with drawing, watercolour pencils, ink, wax crayons and more! Above are some examples of the fantastic art created at the workshops.
We now look forward to starting our dance/fitness workshops in Lowestoft, and beginning our next Great Yarmouth workshops, which will focus on creating 3D lanterns with artist Julie Stimpson, to be displayed in the Great Yarmouth Lantern Parade near Christmas!
