Let’s Enjoy ran from Oct 2022 until November 2023, commemorating the 10th anniversary of the founding of the Enjoy-Great Yarmouth Cultural Education Partnership (CEP). The project celebrated the achievements of the past decade with an ambitious programme of creative and cultural activities for children, young people and teachers.
Let’s Enjoy provided opportunities to come together, create, learn, and explore. It supported the wellbeing of participants and extended links between artists, cultural organisations, and educators. The programme was built around key moments of celebration and aligned with established local arts events and cultural programmes to maximise impacts. Through the programme we explored new approaches to creativity, evaluation and data gathering that will inform the development of the Enjoy CEP and Culture Schools networks over the next ten years.
In partnership with a number of Norfolk-based organisations and venues the CEP worked with partners to achieve the following interconnected strands:
- A development opportunity for emerging practitioners where they were paired with an experienced practitioner and shadowed the delivery of workshops
- A Young communicators team who gained work experience with industry professionals and reported on the project
- A series of creative workshops were offered to schools in the GY area
- An exhibition of participating schools artwork
- A celebratory performance by participating schools
This project was led by St Nicholas Priory CE VA Primary School and St Georges Primary School, in partnership with Enjoy Great Yarmouth Cultural Education Partnership (CEP), East Norfolk Sixth Form College, Creative Collisions, Norfolk Museums Service, and made possible by an Arts Council England Projects Grant.
